Life is not plainly flat. It has bumps that can make you trip over and fall.
Every time you fall, you learn and acquire experience. It is the accumulation of such experiences that makes up your mental life capacity.
If you fail to learn from own experience then you must have a lose bolt in your brain that needs fixed.
