Curiosity in Children

CURIOSITY IN CHILDREN Curiosity is a desire to observe, explore, discover and acquire information. Curiosity is like searching to uncover valuable information hidden in the darkness as portrayed in above painting. Curiosity in children leads to acquiring of new skills and knowledge pertinent to their social functioning such as playing games, imitating adults, learning languages and etc. The exposure of children to stimulating experiences may indeed impct positively on their intellectual growth and overall mental well being. On the other hand allowing children to watch aberrant sexual behavior or nudity could elicit confused perceptions of their sexuality. Dr Mohamed Osman
